 Patra Taylor Bucher is the local editor of Discover Charleston, and its sister publications Connoisseur, Vacation Guide and Sea Island Concierge. She has written for a number of publications, including Latitudes, Lowcountry Living, Coastal Condo Living, Charleston Magazine, Charleston's Post & Courier, Charleston Regional Business Journal and Carolina Homes & Interios. She is also a humorist and special features correspondent for the Charleston Mercury. An Ohio native, Bucher lives in Mount Pleasant, just outside Charleston, with her husband and sons.
 Holger M.E. Obenaus is an international commercial and fine art photographer. Born in Koln, Germany, Obenaus attended college at The University of Bonn where he majored in design; he also graduated from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA, where he was trained in Film and Music Production. As evidenced by his photographs in this book, Holger has a passion for detail, symmetry and balance. He has been involved in projects ranging from capturing the legendary guitar hero Les Paul in a film documentrary in New York City, to preserving the art of classical lutherie as José Romanillos built his last guitar in Madrid, Spain. Obenaus recently moved his photography business and family from Germany to Walterboro, South Carolina.
